Barracas beat San Lorenzo 2-1 in round 6 of la Liga professional
Barracas confirmed their first victory in the tournament, in round 6 of the Liga Profesional 2022, this Sunday 3rd July, el Club Atlético Barracas Central, won 2-1, in the Estadio Islas Malvinas, against Club Atlético San Lorenzo, con referee Jorge Baliño taking charge. The goles from Barracas were from Sepulveda and Bandiera in the 14th and 39th minute of the first half.
A very even first half that had every thing, controversy and goles. San Lorenzo showed a level of superior to begin with but without a goal to show for their efforts, and on 14 minutes Bruno Sepúlveda made it 1-0 with an assist from Neri Bandiera.
Minutes after the goal came the first controversy the first half when Nicolás Ferreyra had a struggle with Bareiro in the penalty box but after checking VAR, was considered not to be a penalty.
In the 37th minute, San Lorenzo's equalizer arrived, after a good cross from Leguizamón, Adam Bareiro sent the ball to the bottom of the goal and made the game 1-1. But Insúa's team fightback was short-lived, as two minutes later, Neri Bandiera received in the area, took out a defender, and with a subtle touch, sent the ball to the back the net to go to the break with a 2-1 lead.
In the second half, San Lorenzo came out with everything in search of the equalizer, andthe best moment came, Bandiera put the 3-1 for Barracas Central, but after a VAR review, the goal was annulled. After that, the San Lorenzo had some chances to get a draw, but the lack of effectiveness, did not allow the team to score the second goal.
At 27 of the complement, Jeremías James, made it 2-2, but the intervention of VAR, the goal was annulled because of a millimetre offside. And so it was that Barracas Central took the victory and achieved its first triumph in the Liga Professional League 2022.
